Injuries

Healing the Sick and Hurt

It is inevitable that there will always be injured and diseased wildlife that come through our doors. From cottontail rabbit nests that are attacked by neighborhood cats and dogs, to window strike birds with concussions, fawns that get bit by a dog, raccoon babies with flea and tick infestations from being left alone too long. The injuries and diseases are extremely varied. It takes a village to help; rehabbers here working together, a vast rehabber online network, volunteers helping with transport, vets on call to help us with surgeries and medicine and pain killers. This is wildlife rehab - community members caring enough to help those little creatures that are sick, hurt, alone and scared.
